01 / The problem

Turn a security toolkit into a repeatable setup.

Security research environments often fail at the setup layer: tools, dependencies and Python environments drift between machines.

Role & responsibility

Built the installation and configuration utility, including orchestration, dependency handling and isolated environment setup.

Verified result

The repository documents supported tools, installation behavior and limitations; production adoption metrics are not claimed.

02 / Solution

Architecture & workflow

A Bash entry point coordinates categorized tool installation, while Python environments and dependency checks keep setup concerns separated.

Technical implementation

  • Grouped tools into documented categories.
  • Added parallel installation paths where safe.
  • Handled dependency management and isolated Python environments.

Key engineering decisions

  • Optimize for reproducibility and readable failure points rather than a silent one-shot installer.
  • Keep the tool list and support boundaries in the public repository.

Completed deliverables

  • Linux setup utility
  • Categorized tool installation
  • Dependency management
  • Isolated Python environments
  • Public repository
